“Achieving academic excellence through personalized instruction, and parent, teacher, community partnerships.”
REACH offers a holistic approach to student learning where parents have a voice.
The heart of our program is our Parents and Advisory Teachers.
The parent or responsible adult works as the Learning Coach supporting the students' daily school work.
The Advisory Teacher (AT) in partnership with the Learning Coach, offers daily check-ins, help with assignments and weekly in-person meetings to monitor student progress.
Both roles support REACH in fulfilling its vision and mission.
REACH School is based on the belief that learning best occurs when:
A caring adult is actively involved (parent)
The student’s learning styles are addressed
Real-life context-based learning is emphasized
Enrichment occurs through field trips, apprenticeships, small group classes, technology, etc.
Schooling is done without walls
Students are intrinsically motivated
